Maybe your radio is not configured properly. Hire a professional to do it for you.

We have B5 with approx 10km link @250Mbps, a fantastic B5c 46km @100Mbps… if you cannot get a proper link with 500m you have a problem: bad working B5 (the config is fool proof so I cannot think you are not able to do it).
Old versions of B5 suffered many problems but since 2016 they are spectacular.
