Anyone could share test results about A6 and C6x ? I read about some problem firstly with firmware then with poor performance.
I think the biggest issues you’ve seen here are the following:
-
We don’t have a lot of real-world data from users because they were waiting on certain features like VLANs or Backward Compatibility. I hope to help people with that a little later this week with a 3.1.3 beta build.

Some of these posts are those that are doing very long range tests. The GA version of firmware doesn’t support long range and should hopefully be able to help with that in 3.1.3 beta as well. This will up the supported distance to at least 9.5KM. I tested at 9.5KM with 160MHz channel, between -70 and -75dBm and was seeing up to 850Mbps down. Right now I think folks are seeing very low data rates (less than 100Mbps) at this distance.
Will the beta firmware be available for download on the website, or is that something we need to request?
If it’s beta, it is typically something that needs to be requested. For this particular release, I’ll make sure its available to everyone.
No sign of this beta anywhere, support says “not available”…
That is correct. We found some bugs with Management VLAN that need to be corrected before we can release a beta. Better to have a working firmware than one that doesn’t.
Any news about the firmware update, it urges us to continue adding clients that are long distances
